To me, truth is not some vague, foggy notion. Truth is real. And, at the same time, --unreal. Fiction and fact and everything in between, plus some things I can't remember, all rolled into one big "thing." This is truth, to me.

When something bad is done, it's already done and you can't turn back time to undo it. No heartfelt "sorry" can reverse the damage...

Let’s face it; digital has reduced the frustration and complexity of recording music in the studio, listening to music at home and even rendered its live aspects.
Once, music was subject to innovative and environmental influence and it seems today sounds are easily replicated, seamlessly duplicated, and effortlessly produced with digital,
for better or worse. What do you think?

If we argue that all our thought processes are nothing but electrochemical signals that occur in the synapses and neurons in our brains, then all our "thinking" can be demoted to "calculating" via biochemical pathways.

In the same way, when a computer calculates via its semiconductor hardware, can it be said that the computer "thinks"?

In other words, If the brain can be treated as a machine, can a computer(or its CPU) be treated as a kind silicon-based "brain"?

I think I have a tendency to attract people unwillingly or attract attention, then people want to be my friend but Im not a social person so then people think im arrogant because I do not speak...everyone wants to know who that quiet kid is, i think i attract attention because im always silent, thinking instead of talking. I dont know. I have always been like this. I like to keep to myself. I dont like attention. I dont like speaking to people I dont know. I like thinking. I like being by myself. I expect this in advance now. This is how my life is going to be like, social people getting pissed because I dont talk to them and share my ideas. I never have time to have fun. I always work. Theres no Tv in my room so no video games. I eat the cafeteria food which is suppose to be healthy but they're playing us. Because i dont speak people think im sullen, silent resentment. Im just a self conscious person, I cant change that. I surprise people because they look at me and think im dumb because I never say anything but when they read my writings they're shocked. Still waters run deep. Quiet people have complex personalities and feelings and thoughts, no one understands that, grown people; 42 year olds, dont know that. I hate this.

does life need a meaning? does 'meaning of life' refer to the same thing as 'purpose of life?' wouldn't that mean life's meaning is different for everybody?

Excessive consumption drives capitalism. But at the same time it is destroying our environment.

The Milwaukee Tool Company build an electric drill, called the ½ Inch Chuck Magnum Drill that was virtually indestructible. Most of these drills built over a forty year period are still in use today and are respected worldwide by people in the building trade. Milwaukee’s Principle was simple enough: 'Build a product that would last a lifetime and people would buy it.' Although it cost more than cheaper drills people bought it because it lasts.

But most products are made to self-destruct, forcing the consumer to constantly buy replacement products and equally causing the quickened depletion of our natural resources.

So I ask, is it a myth that capitalism would implode without forced excessive consumption or are there viable options we can use that ensures capilalism can survive without destroying our planet?

(What's this question doing in philosophy? Think about it.)
