So glad you mentioned this!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yes 10% of their physical brains....the portion of consciousness that current technology can detect.........

the remainder lays in the quantum parts of our consciousness and simply cannot be pinned down to "right here right now"

You don't know how grateful I am you reminded me of this!!!!

Every aspect of our brain is designed for specific usages. While with many the intellectual reasoning parts of the brain may require no more than 10% the remaining parts of the brain still function as storage banks, so to speak, holding and maintaining memory, intuitive though processes, etc. There are also empty storage banks ready to be used if need be.

It's much like a computer's operating system where you have a large hard drive. A certain amount of the space is used as the operating system. The remainder is used for personal file folders, added programs, etc.

If you mean literally, I'm sure science has proved that humans do in fact use more than 10%.

If you mean figuratively, that depends on who you're talking about and the situation. Everyone has times when they don't use their common sense (me included). I think ego plays a big part in how much of your brain is used. Just look at most celebrities for example. They think they're "all that" and a lot do stupid things that end up being publicized. My theory: stay humble and look before you leap.

No, we use 100% percent of our brain.

The 10% is a common misconception, a popular myth.

"The 10% statement may have been started with a misquote of Albert Einstein or the misinterpretation of the work of Pierre Flourens in the 1800s. "

Although, I know some people who act as if they lack a brain.

no thats a false belief. i think a lot of non-psychology people have given this theory. i have never heard a psychologist saying this. though i have heard that we should try to avoid too much useless information being stuffed in our mind, as it may keep us fromn getting uselful information from getting in. no truth in that. probably its a theory propogated by spriyualists, to show humans are so ignorant.

Thank you!

Since when do old wives' tales come with statistics?

Great life lesson, though: if you say "percent", your story is automatically accepted as truth...

Well, whoever came up with that theory, don't you think there is a 90% chance that they're wrong.
