Yes, only by being considered by others to have attained true greatness, only then are you adequately and painfully aware of how insignificant we are in comparison to the ultimate glory of God.
And that realization of inadequacy is what makes great people have humility.

I think that souls who have attained and then fallen from greatness can truly appreciate humility. Also, those who have suffered and triumphed over adversity can. Each situation is a pathway to understanding and compassion. A truly humble soul knows the value of human existence (both their own and others). Humility is a by-product of that knowledge.

Not really, in fact I think its more like the opposite. Some souls who have tasted greatness can appreciate true humility but its neither automatic nor constrained to that group. Actually I think that its more likely that people who have experienced great suffering will appreciate true humility.

No. I think some who have tasted greatness have turned their opportunities into greedy profits, such as many professional athletes. True humility comes from humble hearts brought about by experiences that doesn't have to reach such a lofty status.

Soul is an incorruptible substance and is therefore separated on the greatness physical achievements of a person. True humility can be made possible to any individuals for it is in their heart lies their humbleness as a person.

I'm very careful about agreeing or disagreeing with any concept. Misinterpretations cause so much trouble. Who decides 'greatness' and who am I to compare to it? Humility is respect for my teachers and the earned respect of my students. Perceptions are individual as truth.
