I want to know what do guys think.
I only say what I am assuming they think.
Beauty for me is my worst quality because it does not allow an individual to see things from a realistic point-of-view.
I think that I am funny, but sometimes I piss people off and I regret it later.
I am attracted to all the wrong guys and I never met a nice guy that holds my interest for more than a day.
Nice guys just seem all wrong; what's wrong with me?

Or even without God in the equation, do you think it's natural selection, that we are not all born smart, beautiful and easily directed toward success. Or is there some other cosmic hand guiding us along a path of destiny? Or no destiny... all coincidence?

a long time ago, i came across this idea, that actually, the world runs due to self-esteem, or the lack of it. When one is lacking, one actively seeks out an activity, an event, a material item(s) to fulfill this longing, and so, go outside to achieve things. And so, people with lack of esteem by far had made the world it is today, be it economy, philosophy whatever it may be. Anyone care to share?

In my own view, highly intelligent people are less diligent because they do not need diligence to succeed.

Are we civilized? How far our negligency to the poor peoples who lives in the hope of acquiring our helps as we can be able to provide them some helps on our capacity, but we don't think about them due to lake of our will and it happens only by our selfishness, display our incivilized picture? why are we so selfish? what is our real culture? Have we forgot our moral ethics? Is our life going to be commercial that in every moment we are looking for profit only? Shall we be able to justify our mind to go with morality and humanity? Discuss.

Am I the only one getting completely fed up of people asking whether you can prove that God does/doesn't exist? Do these people not realise that belief in God is based on faith, not on scientific evidence?

A typical example. We want a good relationship which makes "us" feel happy. A partner who makes "us" feel valued and cherished or whatever.
A person who adapts to "our" values.

So if I look on these goals many people have concerning relationships, I indeed see a big selfish part in it. The partner has to do something for us or we dump him or we are upset with him or her.
What is important for you in a relationship? Is is selfish or self less, be honest?-:)

I find it more believable that God created matter than the idea that matter formed itself from nothing. It seems like creationism is as believable as TBBT. In fact, I find it more comforting to think that a loving God created us than that we're doomed on Earth, and when we die we lose all consciensness. So here's my question: Is it more believable that a.) Matter appeared from nowhere, exploded, and in a bizzar chance eventually fromed into the universe with high intelligent life? or b.) God appeared from nowhere (I'll admit I don't know where he came from), created the universe (therefore increasing the odds of the universe being formed by about 1,000,000,000,etc.) and created highly intelligent life? You may believe in evolution, but if it's true, why are there no signs of a "missing link"? Wouldn't we be able to see the progression over time? Why are there animal fossils that are believed to have "evolved", the same animals today, but no fossils of the "inbetween"? God=Sense!

...the exact same kind and size of shoe?

In fifty years, what kind of world would we end up with if nearly everyone complied? Too not comply would mean a death penalty to be enforced at once, so there is no getting around it.
Only one shoe size is decided on by a world governing body who can expect nearly 100% compliance. Only a small fraction of the population lucks out at any given time with a pair of correct fitting shoes, and those are known as "the free runners", who are the priveleged class who are treated as celebrities.

Would we have less overall mobility and ground wars as a result of reduced mobility?

Would we have quite a few in wheelchairs because of foot conditions caused by feet being bound by too-small shoes?

Would little kids with gigantic shoes on their feet and the rest of the population forced to wear odd fitting shoes and limping around be less mobile, and thus more heavier as a result, making them even more sendentary?
