A middle-aged Virginian man with no history of any misdemeanour began to stash child pornography and sexually molest his 8-year-old stepdaughter. Placed in the court system, his sexual behaviour became increasingly compulsive. Eventually, after repeatedly complaining of headaches and vertigo, he was sent for a brain scan. It showed a large but benign tumour in the frontal area of his brain, invading the septum and hypothalmus - regions known to regulate sexual behaviour.

After removal of the tumour, his sexual interests returned to normal. Months later, his sexual focus on young girls rekindled, and a new scan revealed that bits of tissue missed in the surgery had grown into a sizeable tumour. Surgery once again restored his behavioural profile to "normal".

This case renders concrete the issue of free will. Did the man have free will? Was he responsible for his behaviour? Can a tumour usurp one's free will?

i ask(partly because i am a committed fan of selecting our
political leaders by random selection-from the population by
the population!)because some of you think that he needs
"more experience";
So should he have served in the military;Or brought-up 2.4
children,successfully,without divorcing his wife?
So,there must be a million ways in which to (supposedly)
gain just one person's Experience(!)
Are we perfect-having thus a perfect knowledge of the perfect
required "experience"?
Do you think that we will ever get a (near)perfect President?
When is there going to be an ethnic-colored female President? One who is almost "perfect",except, say.that she
happens to be blind too(!)
i dont want a list,either-if thats at all possible;what id like from
you is similar to what id like from all the presidential candidates;and that is your thoughts and preferences on ones
likely "experience" at that age("exp"because everyone differs!)

Sometimes I avoid going out or even watching movies like that. I'm bummed out I guess. Some days are better than others. I'm just trying to figure a good way to cope until I do find someone.

For example, A works at Widget Co. for 35 years and gets a pleasing retirement plan. B worked at Widget Co. for 5 years, and contributed to the same retirement plan, but was severed and released with no benefits, as B was not fully vested, nor did B have as many years with the company, through no fault of their own. So, A gets money that B contributed, in addition to A's own contributions. Is that ethically and morally acceptable?

Continued! Take kindly the counsel of the years gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture the strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and lonliness.Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you concieve Him to be; and whatever your labours and aspirations, in the noisy confussions of life, keep peace with your soul. With all its shams, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. "Be chearful! and Strive to be happy! " written in 1927. by Max Ehrmann.all rights reserved.
