An affirmative statement coming from a philosopher. We designed our life from the moment we gained our wisdom. It is you who is the captain, the captain of your life. It is you who sets your direction in life. No one coulld be blame if you think someone has design your life. For if you have opposed not to allow such a thing or event in life that would not happen in the first place because everhting will redound on your decision.

What a great question.

I have always attributed the life of a person, from the very beginning, as a pure, white and blank canvas. We are all given the materials, paints, brushes and equipments to paint that canvas as how we deem best. It is up to the artist in us to color, render and preserve that piece of art for it to become a masterpiece in our hearts, and for others to behold and appreciate it for the uniqueness that we have given it.

Always remember that it is we, who hold the brush to that canvas, and our consciences that guide the movement of that brush.

And if one prefers to paint it with dark, murky colors, then hopefully he will be able to see it as he steps back to evaluate the finished canvas that he has produced. But by then it may possibly be too late to ask for a fresh, clean sheet and a replacement for the supply of the unfathomable colors that he has mixed on his first - and only - attempt at this otherwise wonderful life…

Yup. And, I take full blame for it. Just teasing. Here's my favorite poem:

William Ernest Henley. 1849–1903

Invictus

OUT of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

I think everyone is the designer of their own life. What you do with it is how it is going to be.

I am God. I am also a box. I am conscience when conscious. I am compromise or I take what I want. I am my property and you are my property. Do you like that notion, personal responsibility. My love is contingent and it is unconditional. I am God and I am a box. Is infinite history an explanation. I have an idiot for a creator, me. Who of us is parent-less, teacher-less, peerless.

The Will is positive, the Judgment is negative.

I am not in this world to live up to your expectations and you are not in this world to live up to mine. If we find each other it is beautiful, if not, it can not be helped.

I am both the designer and the manufacturer, but I'm stuck with crappy raw materials.

Absolutely and so do everyone else for that matter.
Life (design) depends on how one makes it (cutting fabric & having it executed well).
