all it is saying is that all reality is subjective.

Perception is often more important to people than the truth of the matter.
IF people believe a product is bad, they will not buy it and the company will go bankrupt. This is true even if a product is superior but the perception is that it is not.
It is the primary reason companies spend so much upon advertising. They wouldn't be spending that money unless research proved they got more money for that advertising investment they just made.

You're saying that the way things really are is irrelevant. Only how people perceive things to be is of any consequence.
Thats leads one to very interesting questions that have been at the heart of the Western philosophical discussion since Socrates, Plato, and the Sophists. I'm still working on my own answer to this one.
Is it important to get beyond how things seem to how they really are? Is it even possible to do so?

I get what your saying... What the Universe and everything in it actually 'is' doesn't matter if we do not understand it. So what we 'think' it does is what matter because it has a direct affect on us.
I think that is kinda true.. but if we believe something to do one thing and it doesn't, it does something completely different (say we think it is good for us, but it kills us) it Can matter?
You dig?

Sure, this concept is a common one. People do not react to reality, but to their view of reality. If the water is 2 feet deep, but it looks like it's 10 feet deep to me, I will deal with it as though it's 10 feet deep (and conk my head when I dive in).

Subjective truth is greater than objective (accepted) truth. Reality is nothing more than experience and experience is nothing more than consciousness. IMAGINATION should emanate from that quote in bold italic letters!!
