The first philosopher responds the glass is half-full.
The second philosopher responds the glass is half-empty.
The third philosopher responds the glass is not.
The fourth philosopher responds the water is.
Which philosopher or philosophers implement the most
thorough philosophy? There is no wrong answer, the only
requirement is explanation of why each philosophy is
appropriate.

I don't mean a reason such as saying, this action was caused by such and such a cause, rather a purpose for why all these causes and effects are happening on grand scale.

Say a very influencial Prophet were to come to Earth. Would the laws of the universe that are already in motion and moving along there set and unpreventable course allow the Prophet to fulfill the purpose they have on Earth. The word of this prophet causes other effects that had to happen and are unpreventable. Wouldn't this mean that no matter how many opposers set against him/her they would litterally be invincable until they have fulfilled their purpose.

What about other people like Hitler, he believed himself to be invincible, he was prevented from commiting suicide and dogded numerous close calls. Is this a coincedence or did he have to fulfill his lifes work. Perhaps even the belief that he was invincible influenced his behavior.

What I am taliking about is what you see everywhere, whenever you go into a convinient store/supermarket/mall.
Its all of the psychological tricks they try to use so that you can spend more of your money. Consumer psychology, all of this which funny enough my girl-friend studies at the university, I find morally wrong. To play on peoples sub-conscious, feed on their weaknesses just so that company can increase their capitol, while at the same time over pricing goods and paying minimum wages for the emplyees.
Yet most people, even though they themselves are victims of this, seem not to care about it. Why?I dont understand it?
People who work in these places, students whos major are related to this and just people in general, they just dont care!
Is it not possible to have a society based on honesty and education,
rather then ignorance and expotation and still be in business?

Sorry for my bad english, not my mother tounge.

Ok guys i know this argument divides in two directions but i just wanted to know what you guys think of events like:

during the tsunami where thousands of lives and homes were destroyed....there was a statue of a buddha surrounded with glass......untouched......how does that happen when everything else around it was destroyed but this statue

My other question is that "if there is a god" then why are there so many religions, why not just have one to unite us all (i know most are gonna answer saying diversity thats not the answer im looking for)

Do you guys agree that religions are meant to divide people not unite them......

If a person who you love is right beside you but will never be yours, is it the saddest thing in the world. It like in a dessert, hoping love to quench the thirst like water but even the oasis is right infront of you, all you can ever do is to look at it and hope it yours and seeing other people having it.

Worse feeling is when you see her sad, you only wish to make her happy but know you will never be that guy in her life.

Do anyone of you ever have this feeling before or understand what I mean?
