Use to wonder such things all of the time, mate, but then I realised there were no answers to such questions and turned my energy to pragmatic matters.

No!! your not the only one who wonders, there are millions of philosophers that existed in the past and the ones who exist today with or without recognition. I think everyone is a philosopher in one way or the other, i dont think anyone can go on with life not having any philosophical thoughts, some more at a deeper level, such as the existence of the universe, the mind, and others simple as "why am i not getting the love i deserve"........or "is there a god" almost everyone thinks of this question at some point in their lives so they can choose their own belief system either agnostic or religious.
So my friend welcome to the club....

Philosophers have pondered such questions for thousands of years.
We have a yearning to understand where we came from and the questioning nature of Humankind has led us into the depths of space...both inner and outer.
I think the most important things for each individual is to recognise their own personal truths but not force them on others..as religions have been wont to do.
Good luck with your search and know that you are not alone (even if many people get too caught up in their daily lives to stop and wonder.)

Nope! You are the only one! You are very special. The rest of us dummies just accept what someone else told us because it's far too much trouble to think about stuff like that.
Keep thinking, and if you come up with something worth passing on, pass it on here! What the hell we would do without deep people like you I really cannot begin to think.
In answer to your questions:
1) With a Big Bang, when something that was never there in the first place started expanding and began to fill a non-existant space with something.
2) Same length as the proverbial piece of string. That is, as long as you want it to be.
3) Nope! No god! If a god had created everything, I like to think that it would not have made things so inexplicably complicated.
Keep thinking old boy, I'm afraid that's all any of us can do.
Seriously though, there are more people than you imagine out there asking the same questions. They are generally afraid to talk about it with their friends and family in case they get told to "F**k off, who the f**k cares"!

If you are the only one, all the other philosophers in the world would be invisible. I mean, humans have the tendency to think of knowledge beyond their reach (Philosophical questions). Like for the question 'Is there a God?', philosophers have written thousands of essays considering this question over centuries. Therefore, you are definitely not the only one to think of these questions.

I'm going out on a limb here, but I would venture to say that the EXISTANCE of the term and study of 'philosophy' and all the myriad philosophers that have studied, lived, published etc. MIGHT indicate that YOU'RE NOT the only person in the world who thinks about this stuff. Think I might be on to something there?

You're not alone - but I think you need to answer the questions in the reverse order. God? Absolutely! We live in a fabric of extreme experience wrapped in a structure that's much too complex to be accidental. Once you have a tiny grasp on that, it's easier to understand that time is maintained by our solar system, in a universe that God created. Outside of the universe as we know it, time does not exist. Eternity does. Number 3: God spoke it into existence. I'm betting my eternity on the existence of a personal God that became one of us because He cares - for you. No accident. Speculating on my part, the answer to your REAL question: YES, you have meaning. - Pastor Phil

Well the question "is there a God?"
Really doesn't make sense to me , basically because it doesn't really make sense as a question:
You have to have a definition for the word 'God' for the question to make any sense, and as there is no accepted definition of the word 'God' the question is therefore fairly meaningless.
A more appropriate question might be "What is God?"
Whether its a non human entity, a Cosmic power, a set of physical rules and laws, a man with a beard on a cloud , Nature, a word that no one understands. etc THAT is the real question.!

All we do is wonder and ask and try to fool around answering.... but not an iota wiser despite all that.
I believe that since we are bound and limited by space and time, we can not cross space to know nothingness and transcend time to know timelessness.... in our bound condition all we can imagine is empty space instead of nothingness OR still time instead of timelessness. These basic philosophic questions are related to nothingness and timelessness that we are neither capable of knowing nor even of imagining.
