a few lines of code in a computer program can be fatal but bearing in mind the analogy between brain and computer (not that remarkable as one was designed by the other to fulfil the same functions) surely a well constructed aphorism can do the same.. e.g. 'prevention is better than a cure' is obviously untrue in most cases but is taken as gospel.

Even if the proof was irrefutable, and it really is a fact; would you want to escape this hallucination?

Isn't the hallucination, in a sense, far more real? And what kind of implcations does this have for so-called 'virtual' spaces?

Sometimes I wonder if helping family out is more like a burden or intrusive. Help once for a mistakes, problems but if the person just keeps doing the same foolish things its more like a hassle, burden, annoyance...Or should family be there no matter what?

Do you think that people influence people's beliefs more than beliefs influencing beliefs? For instance, I see a lot of arguments about religion and vegetarianism. One question in the veggie section said, "Do you think vegetarians make people eat more meat?" It seems to me that one should not focus on the people who worship a religion or do not eat meat. They should focus on the belief. What would cause people to focus on the people and not the belief? Also, why is there so much depersonalization going on and hatred?

then where did the process of the circle begin? I understand how it's physically impossible for the human mind can't grasp the fact that time has no beginning, but then that really scares me, if time is travelling in circles, maybe our lives as we live it today happened before, a number of years ago unimaginable to mankind and we're just living in a circle, but EVEN IF THAT were true.. where did THAT CYCLE begin.

seriously I need someone to help, even though no one can lol it's scary, it's human nature to belive everything has a beginning because as humans all we know is something, we've never known nothing.

scary thought, anyways, this is the exact reason why I belive God created everything, time, space, consiousness, EVERYTHING. People say the big bang created time, how? It's a law in physics that matter can neither be created nor destroyed, even before the big bang, all the matter that exists today HAS to have an origin, soo scary to think about.. so i'm done
