I can't decide which is my favourite. There have been a few moments I was proud of:
Going to Europe.
Climbing a mountain in Bavaria, Germany (while wearing a dress too! Crazy!)
Winning awards & medals for having the top grades in high school & in university.
Getting my degree.
Having my poems published in literary journals (one of which was even positively reviewed in the newspaper.)
Having my first art show, selling my first painting.
Being on the front of my local paper for singing at a local bar where I'm a regular performer (singer/songwriter/guitarist.)
Buying a detached house, by myself, in a new community.
Doing stand-up comedy on amateur night & making people laugh.
Being on tv in a commercial and a walk-on part in a movie.
I think my greatest achievement was being published. I remember the day that I got my first letter of acceptance. I was so used to rejection letters. I couldn't believe it was actually accepted. I was thrilled. Over the moon. It made all the tears & disappointments worth it. When I saw my name & my words in print in a book, a prestigious academic journal, I was so proud! Then when an art critic even mentioned my poem in a national paper, I was astounded. Money would've been nice but poetry doesn't pay the big bucks! Being published was absolutely priceless! It was like winning a million dollars. (Now if only I could do that!!!)
One day I want to write the great Canadian novel. Lately I've been focusing on writing music & painting but I haven't abandoned the idea of being a published author. I would be thrilled if I could make living at anything I love. But for now I work at a job I dislike which pays the bills...
I'm also proud when I'm chosen for best answer! Tee hee! It's nice to receive recognition. In a way it's like art or music or poetry: I spill my guts, expressing my thoughts & feelings & expose it to strangers never knowing if they'll accept what I've put out there or reject it. It's a nice feeling to be accepted...
:)

Karen Starr has articulated an answer that raises the bar on this space :-) but I'll enjoy this experience answering this earnest inquiry too. I've done most all I had envisioned and as well, experienced surprises too - all of them from belly-button lint removal to marriage to birthing a baby and with my very own DNA. The greatest achievement is evidenced by the fact that I'm still here - thanks to stick-tuitiveness, my family and friends and yes, indeed my enemies, too. I'm glad for ~all~ of this and to arrive making that statement, and sincerely too, well that's my greatest achievement. Thanks for asking - a great beginning to the day *-*

My greatest achievement in life was being a wife and mother and having three wonderful children who have grown into wonderful adults. They all have such an amazing love for each other and their families. We have all remained close to each other and have a great time together. My loving husband of 34 years and their devoted dad passed away August 15, 2005. Before he died of kidney cancer, he asked our children to take care of each other and me, their mother. Losing the love of my life has been very difficult, but God has blessed me with the love and support of our children and grandchildren. Every day is a celebration of life and love. Love is the greatest achievement a person can have. The love my husband and I shared and the love we had for our children is magnefied and continues to grow with our children, grandchildren, extended family and friends. I hope you all are blessed as well.

Many years ago, I went to the airport for flying lessons. I found out I was very good at it. So in the course of a few years I got my Commercial, Multi-Engine and Flight Instructor ratings. I taught quite a few people to fly. They were all successful. Since then, I have taught quite a few things with great success. I feel that I have achieved a great deal in being able to help others be successful.

My greatest achievement as of now, is when how other people made me as an inspiration in their lives. It is not a duty nor a responsibility that has to be done, but being a part of someone's life is such a great pleasure. We die, but the happy moments that we have given to others will remain. :)

I would say my greatest acheivement is not a momentary thing but more like a continuous expansion of my psyche into the realms of the intellect, beauty, and love in all forms.
One thing I might say that I am proud of is my artistic ability.
I am also proud of my ability to read people through what they tell me with their eyes.
Sorry I'm not too good at narrowing down to just one moment.

technically, for me its a step in the right direction, not necessarily an accoplishment.
i went to a camp to become certifed in scuba diving, to become a marine biologist. but when i got there, my breathing problem, frieght of hieghts, and clostrophobia took over, and i couldnt do it. so then my career path/choices took a different turn, and for the better from my piont of view now. im gonna go for zoo management and work with ALL the animals instead, i think it fits me better anyway!
i felt proud of myself for trying it, even though i couldnt do it.
