In reality, it would definitely make a sound but since nobody is there, nobody will hear the sound. Logically speaking, it would not be a phenomenal event bcoz there will be no viewers around to witness the sound.

Sound is a vibration carried by the airwaves. The interpretation of sound inside your ear and your brain is a different story.

Presumably the possum that the tree falls on might hear the crash, just a bit too late.

For instance,

I call you. You are deaf. Have I really called you?

A sound wave would be produced, but there would be nothing around to translate that wave into an audible sound.

If a movie is shown on earth, does it make a smell?

It all depends on how one defines sound. Should we define sound in terms of vibrations or in terms of perception?
