Is psychology an attempt to control society by defining what normal behavior is and to stigmatize those who do not display that behavior? When we give pills to people for depression or ADD, are we medicating them into conformity? Are these valid diseases or genuine emotional responses? Also can we be held responsible for are actions or are our misbehaviors the result of an improper chemical balance in our brains?

Are we the way we are because of our upbringing, environment, and life experiences? If my parents are criminals am I more likely to become a criminal myself? Bad environments do produce some good people, but they produce more "bad" people. Do we have free will with conscious choices or is it an illusion, and we are the product of our environment?

This frightens me, are we to be the last generation of true humans, with real physical contact and true "home grown emotion" and atractions? I'm all for fixing the physical challenges that some people face, but I'm not sure I want to be connected to a worldwide mind.

forbidding the purely formal.

"A & B therefore A" is deductive, but says nothing about the world.
I want an argument where the propositions mean something.

I'm betting any such argument is really inductive.

When you were a kid did you think you were gonna grow up to be somebody. I mean really be somebody. Somebody who's not on Yahoo Answers right now. I use to think that I'd be famouse, successful, have lots of money, be a singer, a writer, an actress. But I'm none of those things. Does it seem like we all dream big as kids. Why does reality bite? I know that's a lot of question. Just try to answer for me.
