Logically, it's hard to defeat Kant's model of universal ethics. Because it's so easy to defeat the argument for cultural relativism (the argument itself contains an inherent contradiction), Kant seems to have forged the logical argument in ethics that holds the most weight.

Mill, in my opinion, did not contribute greatly (or at least positively) in the field of philosophy, at least where concrete deductive logic is concerned. His work on liberalism is something I find troubling, as well, given that he based much of his argument on the belief that the Western European man must nurture the "lesser" world races and bring them up to civilization. How condescending (kind of like the Geico caveman commercials, if you ask me).

Honestly I haven't studied a lot of philosphers, thus I do not follow any of them. I am impressed with what little I know about Aristotle.
