The world is perfectly itself. there is no other perfection but for a thing to be perfectly itself, and all things are thus. imperfection is a perception based on misunderstanding. that misunderstanding is not itself imperfect, to say it is is to misunderstand it.

to say that people inhabiting the world are imperfect is to separate people from the world. they are not separate, so the idea is meaningless. indicating an imperfect component of a thing is just to say that the thing is imperfect because it is imperfect. this does not answer the question.

to say that original sin exists and imperfection follows is to admit a preexisting imperfection, one which created the conditions for original sin. sin cannot both require a cause and self cause.

if there were a perfect plan, then its elements would be perfect, and original sin would not be followed by imperfections but by part of the plan. as such, they would be perfect themselves.

if there is no plan then there is no criteria for judgment. if there is no judgment there is no imperfection, and only what is would remain. what is would simply be, and the world would remain perfect.

The world is not perfect because the people in the world are not perfect.

The people that make the world what it is..are imperfect. We have fallen from our original constitutional postion of serving God, (the Absolutely Perfect Being) with loving devotional service. If we are not following perfect instructions given by God, we will get imperfection results.
We are not being instructed correctly about the real purpose to life, so everyone just goes about trying to fulfill their limitless desires according to their own whim and fancy, with no real common purpose or goal. It appears that sense gratification is the order of life...eating, sleeping, mating (sex) , and defending.
That is what all other animals do. So unless we realise that we are not just animals (body) and that we are soul and that our purpose is to realise our true identity as souls...pure loving devoted servants of God....we will remain imperfect in whatever we do. The whole world is built upon service...the highest office of power in the world is also base on how it can best serve the people. When such offices and its officers begin to serving correctly the people...by instucting the people of their real purpose to life, our realtionship with god and how to reestablish our original constitutional position in relationship the Supreme Absolute Truth (God), life and the world would be perfect. As it is in heaven, so it is on earth.

I think if humanity embraced the idea of the earth being a spiritual place, learn to check their ego, would not be perfect, but better perhaps. Ego Mind that controls such feelings as fear, anger, anxiety, guilt, blame and shame do not exist in the heart. The challenge lies training the Ego Mind to work in harmony with the Heart. I feel that our mission is to embrace not that we are just spiritual beings and to remove our Ego Mind, but to bring ourselves into balance integrating all the divine gifts that we are as humans … this includes the Ego Mind.

this question reminds me of a quote I once read,

"perfection is the striving of an idiot, because only an idiot would stive for something to which cannot be attained"

the world's content isn't perfect, it is imperfect in order to become better, perfection itself can never be attained however, only improved levels of imperfection.

so in a way the world is perfect, perfect in it's imperfection.

Because we don't have enough people asking why. Good question... but another thought on that might be why aren't people trying to make the world perfect.

Because people aren't perfect. The world (or it's citizens) has never been perfect, nor will it ever be.

A world without egoism is a perfect world. egoism is the root of all evil and imperfection.

How perfect is perfect, or just how you define as perfect? Your perfect might not be perfect to others, so in the end, there's no perfect.
