Ok granted watching a movie or sporting event on a nice tv is nice. Big tv, nice picture, I get it its better than older small TVs. But I'm talking about those people that will sit there and talk about the resolution and how real the grass and trees look, will sit there and just in absolute amazement like its something they have never seen before. If your watching a sporting event, do we really need to see the individual blades of grass, and the beads of sweat coming off the atheletes, the texture of the ball. If you want to look at a grass or trees you could just go out side and look real grass and real trees, take a look at a real ball yourself? whats the resolution of real things in real life, i bet its higher than 1080p? Why do people need this level of detail on a tv?

This morning, as I put on my tophat and took the umbrella from the stand; just about to go to work, I realised I couldn't find the door to my house. Worse still, I wasn't sure that the word 'door' actually existed. Looking in my dictionary I couldn't find the word anywhere. Hearing a miaow, I looked for my cat and had exactly the same problem- there was a miaow in the dictionary but no accompanying cat.

What I want to know is: how do I Conjure the two signified objects back into existence without the corresponding signifier? The disembodied miaow is infuriating, and, worse still, I can't let it out of...of...the......?

I mean we got some religious folks on here, trying to answer all questions with belief in Christ is the way, homosexuality is evil, but you can steal and hurt other people that wouldn't cost any of your soul. And, others that are just ignorant to the way others are made, and don't respect them enough to tell them that they don't respect them, they just spew their venomous hatred over the computer. Here is one more thing to think about before you spew your venomous hatred towards me, stick and stones. . . baby.

Let's say someone is immortal and spends all their time meditating. They imagine a deer and through years of meditation map out every cell, every bone, every chemical reaction that would go on inside that deer. They can remove any influence they would have on this imagination of theirs and sort of suspend it, and let everything inside it serve its purpose.

I'm just thinking about what if someone could have a fully functioning life form inside their mind unlike the superficial images of animals we have inside ours.

Would this be a life?
