if you only see what they are and not what they can be, then they are dead.if that is all they are is what they are, then there is nothing left to be, therefore are not they dead.if you can not see what the person can be, or even imagine what the person can be, but only see what is there at this moment, and say,oh my goodness this is what this person is. this person can not be alive because there is no more future. he is what is, and that is all.if we look deeper we may see something much greater inside, than that which is showing.can you look past what you see from outside. if we really look deep into a person find something nice in there, all we have left to do is to get out and let it take control, let that which was buried come alive and change all that is intosomething new.the thing that is inside is buried because it found no place to be. if we can just show it that there is a place for it be,then it can shine and change the world around it.paul said i see things as they are not

If life is fair in any way, why does it involve the suffering of someone you know, or a total stranger to carry out your way of life. The dreams that brought you to the position you're in right now. All gone down the drain by guilt and self-conciousness. How could it be fair to live with all the pleasures in life, if it makes you evil in a certain perspective to begin with? I could go with:"What is the meaning of life" or, "How can I live without regrets?". The way I see it, in order to obtain something precious, we have to destroy someone's life for it to bear fruit, and let that lead us to our "perfect life"... ^_^

is it something that just fills your time? do you seriously seek some sort of personal insight from the countless elementary questions? are you hoping to 'enlighten' someone else? is there another reason?

is anyone here REALLY concerned with philosophy as a study/process? or is it safe to assume we are a collective sitting around trying to sound cute and/or smart?

why are you here? reading this question? considering an answer?
what is this yahoo philosophy to you?

(yeah, this isn't a meaningless question. i'm looking for thought behind an answer)

Ten weary footsore travellers
all in a woeful plight.
Sought shelter in a wayside inn
on a dark and stormy night.

Nine rooms, no more, the landlord said
have I to offer you.
For each of eight a single bed
but the ninth must serve for two.

A din arose, the troubled host
could only scratch his head.
For amongst those footsore travellers
no two would share one bed.

The troubled host was soon at ease
he was a clever man.
And to please all ten men
he devised this most ingenious plan.

In room marked “A” two men he placed
the third he put in “B”
The fourth in “C” he tucked away
the fifth retired to “D”

In “E” and “F” the sixth and seventh
and in “G” the eighth man.
In “H” the ninth he tucked away
and then to “A” he ran.

Wherein as I have said
he’d laid two travellers by.
Taking one, the tenth and last
he lodged him safe in “I”

Nine rooms, a room for each
was made to serve for ten.
And this it is that’s bothered me
and many wiser men.

Would you do it for personal gain (love, etc.) or for financial gain? Celebrities and famous people are fair game. Just give a valid reason for creating the clone.

And please spare me the morality - we're speaking hypothetically here.

Why is “socially forbidden” to use words that are describing procreation, sex, parts of our bodies (genitals and breasts), or words used to describe disposal of bodily waste…
(Going to latrine)
Kids will learn those “bad words” from their friends, anyway!

Is it because parents are uncomfortable with explaining procreation to their kids?
Kids will learn that, too, from their friends.

So, what’s the point?????????
