If life is fair in any way, why does it involve the suffering of someone you know, or a total stranger to carry out your way of life. The dreams that brought you to the position you're in right now. All gone down the drain by guilt and self-conciousness. How could it be fair to live with all the pleasures in life, if it makes you evil in a certain perspective to begin with? I could go with:"What is the meaning of life" or, "How can I live without regrets?". The way I see it, in order to obtain something precious, we have to destroy someone's life for it to bear fruit, and let that lead us to our "perfect life"... ^_^

Life isn't fair. It never was.
It is inevitable that while you are still living and breathing, you will experience pain, which can either be brought by something you have caused or something that is out of your reach.

To answer your question, well, I believe that YOU do not have to be guilty with all your pleasures in life (unless you had to destroy someone to achieve that pleasure). It is not only important that you reach your goal, but you also make sure that you do not step on anybody's feet on the way.
You can still struggle to compete, survive and be assertive and live without regrets if you pursue your dreams, wwithout having to destroy anyone.

Because, later on, even if you've achieved everything you've ever hoped for, you can never remove that guilt inside you. It will haunt you.

Fulfilling your dreams shouldn't involve destroying someone else's life...wait a minute? are you a lawyer or a dentist?! Ok I'm being facetious, sorry.

Seriously though, I suppose some professions or ways of life may involve hurting others. All you can do is what you feel is right & if someone is hurt in the process, you can't feel guilty. You are still fulfilling a role that someone had to. Don't live with regret. If you're torn apart with guilt, you have to ask yourself if it's worth it. Maybe you don't feel right about what you're doing, in which case, why are you doing it? Do something else. Follow your heart. It's your best guide. If you feel in your heart that you're doing wrong, you will never get past it.

Well, for one thing, I don't believe you can discard evil from your life; once you've done something bad or sinful or "evil," it's there on the personal permanent record of your conscience and your memory, or even in those around you.

Anyway, bottom line: our actions influence the world in ways you could perhaps never imagine. I believe that everyone's actions influence other people's actions, whether it is known or unknown to them. The world is about cause and effect; the influencer and the influenced. The flow of life is also a neverending circle of influence. That's what I think.

if it was possible to discard evil without hurting others hopes and dreams then you wouldn't have known what is right and what is evil. This question of yours then automatically become irrelevant. if here had been no failure then no one would have understood the importance of victory and the epiphany it offers. every time when we face regret and pain we grow to a point where our behavior does not lead us into it. the more you begin to understand yourself and more your thinking horizon grows you will see that the right and wrong begins to blend into each other as they are merely your expression of perception.
