Guilty conscience pricks the mind and a natural self defensive mode.

People can repeatedly say that they DONT care about something, but there are instances when they really do care about that.

After all, if you really don't care, why the heck would you bother talking about it anyway?

It's easy to say that you don't, but when you actually do deep inside, you end up contradicting yourself in front of other people.

Like for instance, if you don't like a particular person, but then you keep on blabbing about her, then it might as well be concluded that you are affected by that person, in a particular way. Whether that person affects you in a good or bad way, the bottomline is...YOU DO CARE.

I think this has something to do with the proverbial" Oh .No. The grapes are sour" approach.

The very fact that such people talk about it repeatedly would , by itself, imply that these small , little things are occupying their mind constantly and , indeed they are not getting the response from the others to convey the feelings that these little things are worth values.

But, generally, god manners teach us niot to contradict someone if that person has difinite views about it.If a man keeps talking about hiw little he thinks about a particular promotion in his company it would be obvious to me that his not getting the job promotion has upset him considerably. He can get solace from the disappointment ONLy by belittling the job itself. I would say it is a normal human behaviour

Well, that's because they do care,
but they just don't know that they care about it
or just don't want that others know that they do care,
while when they keep talking about it, they were showing that they do care about it.

People talk about what is important to them. So if they say they don't care, they in fact, do.

Because they're lying! If they take the time to go on about it, they obviously have feelings on the subject...
