How would a person know what is on the other side if they did not jump? Perhaps life would be better or maybe not.

We had a Girl Scout troop a few years back who did a project on hunger. They performed a play about a wall that exists but is invisible. It is the wall of "un-seeing" or of not being able to empathize with those who are suffering. The hungry kept trying to look over and then climb the wall to where they could see people stuffing rich foods into their mouths. They kept trying to help each other. Finally someone saw them and helped them over the wall. Unfortunately, I cannot recall the name of the play and have not been able to find it. Both sides of the wall had serious problems. on one side there is starvation of the soul and on the other starvation of the body. Where was the real poverty? The only way to know is to see both sides of the wall.

People deserve life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, regardless of what country they happen to be born in or any other demographic info. So if there's a wall keeping them from happiness, then, yes, jump the wall. Jump the wall until the wall is torn down. It shouldn't be there in the first place.

You are talking about immigration, right? Man, Bush sure changed his tune on immigration!

I don't think you need to jump a wall to get a better life to change, but you need to make changes in your life to become successful or remain the same..

Yes. Unless you're in prison, in which case you should do your time or they'll get you anyway.

If you want a better life, go for it. But remember the grass always seems greener. Is it really a better life or is it just that you always want what you don't have (instead of appreciating the life you do have)...?

It depends on whether the wall is of the person's making or someone else's making.

i once heard of a millitary traning, where they had to walk as a group into a wall and keep walking. you are banging your knees agaist the wall, the peopl behind you are ponding you with their knees...may be they were suposed to learn to walk right over the person in front of them to get the highth they needed to get over the wall. the people that were in front of them allowed themselves to be walked on, to be the bridge you need to get over the wall. they sacrifice themselves so that you can make it out....... i just now understood that message...thank you for asking..........the cruelty that seems our teachers put us through, are not so cruel after all. they pound the messages into, because other wise we do not get it..
