This happened to me in Grade 4, with learning long division: it was a terrible struggle, and once I figured it out, the test was over & so was the unit. Ever since then, I've noticed it's a metaphor with so many other things, including life itself.

Religion has been guilty of criticizing with Morality & Ethics. Defining right & wrong is a necessary part of life. As an 'individual' we have to decide for ourselves what that is. As long as we do not do it at the expense of others. Morality & Ethics is more about not living selfishly. So, who gets to decide what right and wrong is? If we all decide and come up with differant answers there will be a lot of chaos.

Well so much is being said about discrimination, or at least the negative side of it, and the question asks why homosexuals discriminate against members of the opposite sex ?

Do not gay men discriminate against women, in fact they do not marry a gay women ?

I use the net a lot, and have been talking to a person in Nigeria, I am from Wales in UK. I have been told that all I got to do to help this person escape poverty in Africa is to invite them to Wales as my guest. And they will be given a visa and be able to live here and escape poverty. Surely if everyone in the rich countrys done this there would be nobody left in the poor countrys. And poverty would be solved. Is me inviting this person to Wales a good idea? Is there something I am missing here? or could poverty realy be solved if enougth people were to invite others to move?

Philosophical half-truth worm corrupts humanity ! Why ?

It appears that a 'half-truth' virus has corrupted mainstream philosophy.

Now a half-truth can be many things.

A litereal half of a truth, where 'we are all equal before God becomes" we are all equal" which is wrong is it not ?

So what does 'we are all equal before God" mean?

If there was such a thing as free will. Then why do people have regrets about some kind of action or decison they made previously. But, seriously regret it or can't quite figure out what they were thinking in the first place ? If you truly had free will. You wouldn't have regrets or make mistakes. Because, you'd always be in control.

Please no religious types. I cant adopt your faith thru your words. I either have it or not.

I look thru the posts and most everyone says their favorites age is anywhere from 10 - 25. I agree with this. Now I am 37 and life is work and toil and boredom and pending sickness is all that awaits.

Bible prophecy adherents are influencing US and world politics and pressing for Middle Eastern countries to conform to Bible prophecies. What disease of the mind or soul would cause these people to interfere with issues that have already adverse effects upon the world. Should this be tolerated or outlawed in Western Countries?
