More often they do make sense. Even when they're weird and strange there is some kind of order to them----at least while they are happening they seem realistic. There are times I get answers to my problems from my dreams...........

Then again, sometimes my dreams make zero sense!
I'm a star in el bizzaro world.

Good question Nadia Marie! How 'bout your dreams? :))

Most of them don't. But every 6 months or so, I'll have a dream that unfolds just like a movie. Sometimes as many as 3 or 4 different acts that appear unrelated until the final act or two of the dream, which then pulls the opening sequences together. I swear to God after one of these dreams, credits like the in the movies actually scrolled. I want to believe I starred, wrote, produced, directed, the whole thing, but I can't recall those details. I just remember waking up and feeling like I just watched a movie.

Im not sure if they always do.But, The inventor of the SInger sewing machine was stuck on a problem of how to get the string on both sides of the fabric with the needle. He had a solution in a dream. He dreamed he was being chased by some kind of indians with spears. He feel down and just before he was about to be killed. He saw the spear head with a hole in it. Then he realized the solution to his sewing machine problem. There are many more examples like this one.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Kind of depends on your definition of "making sense".

Funny thing is, sometimes I'm in situations in dreams that are completely ridiculous, yet I don't find it ridiculous in the dream.

Dreams are crazy things. Kind of like paintings, sometimes ultra realistic, other times just an abstract mess.
