I can see my neighbours son out in the back garden. He is urinating against the shed. Yesterday he damaged the fence, and I have seen him spraying racist slogans on a wall. Iwent to complain to his father who swore at me and became aggressive. However, I have a shotgun and I think I can probably get the son from the bathroom window. I feel I owe it to humanity to destroy the brute before he does any more damage. But I am worried about geting caught.

Should I shoot the youth to save humanity?

Think about this for a moment. If you were never born, how do you think it will affect your family and everyone else you know? Thanks.

Don't you want to see what the afterlife is like? When can I see the afterlife? When am I supposed to see the afterlife? Aren't you anxious to see what the afterlife is like?

Don't you want to experience death, Don't you want to see if you are going to heaven or not right now? Don't you want to get into heaven now. Don't you think you're wasting time on earth and you want to see what it's like on the other side right now?

I have a very high IQ, I went to an ivy league university and studied philosophy where the professors of my graduate courses told me I had a special gift for philosophy. Yet somehow I don't have a clue and should stick to the "does he fancy me" questions. Am I secretly retarded, and everyone has been hiding it from me all my life? :(

What I mean is, if everyone makes decisions based on the knowlegde they can readily access, and decides what to do based on what they think is right at that time, is there really such a thing as a wrong decision? Not to say there are not good or bad decisions, but who decides if they are right or wrong? If it is really up to the person and their perception of the situation, then can any decision really be wrong?

I was reading another question to do with time and someone, Buttermilk, offered a quote. Time was invented to keep things from happening all at once. This got me thinking about the holographic theory. Does anyone have any knowledge about this theory? If so, what's your opinion of it?

In The Republic book IX, Plato argued that most ordinary people did not have a strongly rational nature, and therefore needed to be constrained in what they did by being ruled by those who were naturally more rational. Phlosophers alone, he thought, would have sufficient detachment to be able to legislate for the good of society as a whole. It seems to me that in the past our leaders had more philosophical ideals than today. I know to be a politition you have to take some philosophy but should it be a bigger issue. Any comment are appreciated.
