The Wrath of Lonliness
Tears that take form
Rolling down youre face
The smiles once known
beggining to erase
Laughter fading into the the night
colors changing from bright to balck and white
Mind filling wiht darkness
trying to let go of what started all this
Your soul slipping away
more and more day by day
Hands are to weak
to grasp the cause
The strength you want to endure
is put on pause
Anger scratching at your heart like vicious claws
You look to the people you once trusted
but like nails there compassion has rusted
Wondering if theres a higher being
you pray to the air
But you get no answer
theres no help there
Somehow you have become hopeless
living your life with the wrath
of eternal lonliness

i hear this Neitzschean apothegm quoted all the time, by glib people. but it doesn't seem to mean anything. either it's just plain false, or it's trivial.

FALSE: obviously there are millions of things that don't kill me, but also don't make me stronger. The number 128945634 doesn't kill me, and it doesn't make me any stronger. People from the past don't kill me, and don't make me stronger. Atoms on planets in faraway solar systems, etc. etc.

Some things that won't kill me can make me weaker, in fact: Gout, Ross River Fever, etc.

TRIVIAL: so it looks like Neitzsche means, "that which interacts with me, and tests me, and doesn't make me weaker, makes me stronger", but this just seems like a way of saying "that which makes me stronger makes me stronger", which is trivial.

So PLEASE give a good account, or tell everybody to stop saying this!!!

I FIND THAT I AM THE TYPE OF PERSON THAT CAN NOT STOP TRYING TO FIGURE OUT THE MESSAGE UNDERLYING. I FIND THAT LIFE CAN BE A LITTLE LONELY. IS IT BECAUSE THE FACT I AM ANALYZING OR DOES IT MEAN I AM JUST HANGING WITH PEOPLE THAT ARE A RARETY. IT FRUSTRATES ME NOT TO BE ABLE TO FIND PEOPLE THAT MAKE ME THINK OR CHALLENGE ME. I GUESS I AM CURIOUS AS WELL IF THERE ARE ANY PEOPLE THAT HAVE A HARD TIME SLEEPING DUE TO THE FACT YOU CAN NOT STOP YOUR BRAIN FROM SLEEPING? (NOT SURE WHERE ELSE TO POST THIS)
