Do you believe that even a compassionate person can be nonetheless cynical about people and human nature? Is it a controdiction, to practice compassion while ever expecting the opposite from others? Am I only defeating my self in the end, with my cynicism, despite my best efferts at a compassionate attitude and life goal?

Anything you want. But remember I'm just human like you and I will do only one thing one time. So be wise.

I feel that at one point in my life I have connected with a void much vaster than reality itself - the space beyond God...does anyone else relate to this - do you know of any deities or myths that give a name to this space?

I was a little surprised by the number of people who seemed to advocate "murder is always wrong". Would you allow a terrorist to break into your house and kill you and your family because killing/murdering him was the only alternative? Those of you who answer "yes" -- please elaborate. Those of you who answer "no", please stop using "murder is always wrong" in such a generic fashion, as if it is always unquestionably the case (if you have done this).

I am really beautiful and so many guys fall in love with me. Don't be jelous please I write this not for this!! I just wanted to tell that some of them love me more some less but those who love more and can do more to me are usually not handsome... I can't understand why then I always choose handsome guys (who actually love me too) instead of those who care about my feelings more? I just can't think a not handsome guy will be with me when I am so goodlooking. That's really very bad! Tell me how can I realize with my heart that looks doesn't matter at all!!!

If you've taken any ethics classes, you've probably heard it before -- Utilitarianism "fails" when this thing we call "justice" intervenes. Is justice really more important than saving, say, 5 other people's lives? Is it really wrong to kill 1 innocent person, and take his organs (against his will), to save 5 other people? 50 other people? 1,000 other people?

Take Windows Vista for example, does a new operating system really improve the quality of anybody's life? I think we have passed the point where technology makes things better, now we just have technology for technolgy's sake.

just pick a year before or in 2006 and please tell why.

I wish I was born in 2006 for the reasons of the medical and technological improvements. Babies born in 2006 have had a much greater chance of living then just 30 years ago. The future holds a lot but as always, the future is not fixed.

1. Why do you care whether or not I go to hell?
2. I'm happy thinking that religion is wrong, and I don't push atheism on anyone or hurt anybody.
3. The Bible says not to push one's religion on another, but a lot of the christians push it on us, so they are commiting a sin. Also, I think religion is a way used to help give people hope. It just tells us to be good people. People used it in the middle ages to give people hope that heaven will be better than the shithole they lived in. People go way overboard with it. If I die and low-and-behold there is a god, I think I SHOULD be allowed in heaven because I am a good person. ACTUALLY if you do beleive that if you beleive in god, its an automatic ticket to the big H, than does that mean that child mollestors, rapists, murderers, animal abusers, and terrorists are in heaven? Cause if so, I dont wanna go!!!!!
I am a good person with strong morals and no religion. I think its a bunch of phooey but I dont make people feel bad about god.
