First some background: When our dog was a puppy the neighbor boy threw stones at him and squirted him with waterguns (of course we put a stop to this as soon as we knew) so now he's scared of all men and especially 10-yr old boys. If he gets loose he will bite them (out of fear). He is the sweetest dog with the family. We took him to a proffesional trainer who said "this dog is NOT aggressive, just afraid". We've worked really hard on training him the past year but it hasn't helped and he will be put to sleep tomorrow. He's only 2 ½ yrs.

To get to my question: maybe it's better this way, that he's put to sleep calmly with people he loves while he's still healthy, instead of waiting till he's old and in pain? Do you think so? and if not, imagine that he has a disease now that we don't know about? So if we could keep him that would mean he would be in pain?

Please tell me what you think. Thanks.

There hasn't been a time where you haven't wanted to die. There is something wrong with you and like a sickness hoping that one day you will wake up and it will all go away.

A bug is a very small thing. Let's take for instance an ant if an ant were to look up at us we might appear as a mountain to him. If it were to rain a puddle might appear as a vast ocean. So my question We view our vast oceans and our mountains which are very large. But is there something bigger looking at us saying what I am saying about bugs? We are so big a bugs perception of us might be that we don't exist you see the bug only see's what it can and the rest is up for interpetation. Same with us. Catch my drift?

If I hold out my hand and tell you that there are no coins in my hand and I open it and there are no coins. Didn't I just prove a negative?

Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength; loving someone deeply gives you courage. - Lao Tzu

I think there's a fine line between courage and stupidity especially when it comes to "love" and in most circumstances being courageous is completely irrational, so I think this Lao Tzu guy is mistaken and foolish to state such a thing. How do you feel about this?

What would you do in those 24 hours? Remember, there will be no consequences related to your actions (no limitations ...external or internal barriers of any sort)... and your life will go back to normal the next day.
