Deserving of death? My flippant answer would be that we are born to die. But, your question has to do with whether the State should have the right to execute people for their crimes.

My answer is... If the guilt can be incontrovertably proven, if it can be proven that the criminal poses a threat to everyone that he meets, if it can be proven that he will never reform, and if it can be proven that there is not Divine Justice, then.... Yeah, it seems reasonable to me. But, in my opinion 3 of the 4 criteria will never be provable, and the first is debatable, so I do not think that it is deserving.

But, if the law is applied equally and justly to everyone, then I cannot see why a death penalty law cannot exist as well. If we are honest, hardworking people, then we have nothing to fear from such an eye-for-an-eye law. Those who are motivated to premeditated murder are aware that such a highly publicized law exists, and if they are not prepared to face the consequences, then it is their ignorance that will be "the death of them." The logical flaws are the assumption that the law is applied equally and justly, and that everyone who commits murder is capable of understanding the law. So, I can also NOT condone it.

Nobody, life in a isolated cell in a prison is a worst punishment. If we accept the death penalty we become part of the killing machine. More advanced countries, like the EU , prohibit the dead penalty.

Tricky question. We are taught that Christ wants us to forgive. But our actions do mean consequences. Now, yes, we are told not to judge others. But God used judges in the Old Testament (there's a book named after them ;) ) to judge the people. Christ also said render unto Caesar what is Caesars, meaning to obey those put in authority over you.

Certain people cannot be rehabbed. It mentions in the Bible God giving "them" over to a reprobate mind. Not meaning He gave up on them, but that they had gone so far over to the darkside there was no way they would choose to return. I believe some of those people are child molestors.

I feel that, yes, the death penalty should be used and frequently. If I am wrong, I pray that God will change my heart about it.

YES!
why should varried states have to feed house and support the chronic criminal and non-reformable. if these people knew for sure that they would pay the ultimate price without a doubt, they'd be a bit more hesitant to commit such crimes. Rape, pedophelia, murder, spousal abuse, child abuse... NOBODY should EVER have to suffer these crimes. if death were the repeat offender's consequence (first offence for the harsher offences)... nobody would be to eager to commit them

if it could be forensicaly verrified and attested to by whitnesses. there should be no appeal process. death should be imminent. within 72 hours of judgement. unless it can also be verrified that the act itself was justified; like self defense. no more years and years of appeals.
they're like children begging a glass of water just to get to stay awake those few extra minutes. even with children, punishments must be stable and absolute.... no exceptions

I didn't until I had a cousin raped and murdered and left like trash. My bleeding heart dried up in a heartbeat that day.
People who murder and commit heinous crimes like rape and incest and molestation need to be thrown away.
