There is only one that is absolute otherwise all other things in this universe are relative. That absolute is within you wrapped up with ignorance called 'I' ness and 'my'ness what we understand by the feeling of separateness from the universe. The absolute within and the absolute without is the same because there can not be two absolutes. Once it is divided it becomes relative. Hence. there is one and only one absolute i.e. God and that is within you. If you try you can also feel but your effort must be total, not fragmentary because after all you are trying to discover the 'Absolute'.

No. There are no absolutes as everything is open to conjecture. We all perceive things in a different light. What appears as flawless is subject to variables. I don't even consider death an absolute as we really don't know what happens after we die.
What guides me? Intuition, experience, rational thinking and sometimes, just some good guesswork. It must be working as I am still here after a half-century (reasonably unscathed).
