A bug is a very small thing. Let's take for instance an ant if an ant were to look up at us we might appear as a mountain to him. If it were to rain a puddle might appear as a vast ocean. So my question We view our vast oceans and our mountains which are very large. But is there something bigger looking at us saying what I am saying about bugs? We are so big a bugs perception of us might be that we don't exist you see the bug only see's what it can and the rest is up for interpetation. Same with us. Catch my drift?

Do you remember the movie men in black, in which Orions belt turned out to be an entire galixy, the size of a marble, attached to the cats collar. Yes, we very well could be a small science experiment and are being watched under a very large microscope. No One Knows at this point in time. We know the universe is very vast, but we know no boundries.

Way back in time "The 60's" a bunch of us used to ingest mind altering substances and at night lie on a mountain top in tropical North Queensland Australia and contemplate that same scenario,, weather it was the substance we had ingested or not we all clearly felt small and insignificant,, many years have passed and I no longer ingest mind altering substances, and ye I still lay on that mountain top with all tha awe and wonder of those days past. You see the infinite is just that and we ants recognise the infinite and seem infinitely small against it. Yes we are smaller than the smallest bugs, fortunately we know it.

Yes and no. Yes, we are obviously small and insignificant. We live on a planet that just doesn't count. Our sun, which represents 98% of the mass of our solar system, is just a middle size star. There are larger planets than ours even in our solar system. There might be beings in this huge Universe that are looking at us through a magnifying glass, BUT THE FACT THAT WE HAVE ALL THESE THOUGHTS ABOUT OUR UNIVERSE MAKES US AS LARGE AS THE UNIVERSE ITSELF.
Corollary: a man is a big as his thoughts.
Here you are, the thought of the day. Thank you for making come up with another thought that will hopefully become a quotation when I am rich and famous.

I've thought about the ants in the same way. But now I feel, my being aware of them is only important from my perspective, and not from theirs. I realize that there are so many things they are aware of that I'm not. For example, they know how to carry a load so many times their weight, and it's not in my understanding to grasp that phenomenon. Life is full of wonders, and I'm finding out, in reality, I'm less aware than I think I am.

Yeah...I would agree you are bored...just as bored as I am--that's why I'm answering this Q.
My thoughts-well I contimplated on this many times & many moons ago.The truth of the matter is-if there are such beings that could tower over us as we do to ants...they certainly are from another galaxy and/or possibly another universe entirely...hopefully,we do not bump into them...we would be squashed-no doubt about it...and some of us would make good pets or tasty morsels!!!Also,if I may add..."DAVE" may have a point...LMAO

We have seen the bigger picture: planet system, star group, galaxies, galaxy group, universe, universe groups, etc.

So far we don't see anything larger then us acting conscious. Some say the Earth is alive because cells are individual living things that make us up. So wouldn't individual organisms make it's larger self conscious?

For now, I don't think anything is looking at us, I can say God, but God is a closed concept and describing "him" would make him un-superior. It's too long to explain.

i doubt ants perceive us as we really are, i think we're probably just another surface to scour in the search for food. but then again, i hardly doubt that bugs sit around and inteccectualize these points like we do. it's all a mere distraction

How does abstraction of something we can't see add up to reality?

Because I abstract "limitation" to my body, I can 'conceive' of myself without limitation.. and possibility entails existence if God = perfection.

Bunch of drivel man, go back to the phenomenon.. oh right, I don't see a God anywhere.. we didn't just make that up did we?

Maybe we're just living on an electron called Earth.

think of it this way. ants dont have technology to communicate and enter our realm. sure, they invade our houses from froot loops, but they have no mental connection with us. if there are beings superior to us, we dont have the technology to speak with them, or be in theur realm mentally, only physically.
