I have a house I live alone I need a friend(Female Friend) to help.

I have always been interested in singing and wanted to improve. I am not amazing but I have a voice that carries potential and I definetely think voice lessons could be helpful. I am curious about a few things:
-cost range?
-what do they teach?
-what should I look for in a teacher?
-should I go there knowing anything?(currently I don't, other than what I was born knowing)
-Feel free to all other info that you think would be helpful to me.
