Start with the theme. There should be one. Once you have decided on a theme, jot down on a piece of paper the words that says one thing about the theme.

Lets say the goal is a blues theme. What are some ideas, as far outside they may be, for a line?

"Sometime, It even smells like the blues."

"I just doos, what a blues man doos, when he, passin' 'round dat hat."

Get the idea? When you have enough lines to work with, string the ones you want together, to send out the theme. Not all of the lines will be keepers, so jot them down when the come to you for a day or two, or more if necessary, then pick the ones that are most trick.

You recognized you needed advice. You went looking for it. This is a good thing, and you should do well.
