I have seen both Quidam and Blue Man Group's Tubes in NYC. Quidam is classic Cirque, of course, with all the music and amazing acrobatics- the main character is a girl, so that might be interesting! Even with the wonderful seats I had, it was still hard to believe my eyes! The Blue Man Group involves a lot more communication directly with the audience through music, dance, facial expressions, gestures, props, etc. It is much more interactive and upbeat. Think about alien rock musicians landing on the earth and giving a concert. It depends on what you feel would be the best decision, however I thing that you might enjoy Blue Man more, as it is very visceral and Cirque seems more aesthetic and not as easy to understand. You will FEEL Blue Man. Good Luck with your decision.

About the first 15 minutes of the Blue Man Group is good after that it is okay... I just saw Cirque Du Soleil - Quidam and it was fantastic and I highly recommend it!

I personally would rather Cirque Du Soleil because I find Blue Man Group a little on the annoying side, but here is some information about them:
Blue Man Group (BMG) is a creative organization centered on a trio of mute performers, called Blue Men, that present themselves in blue paint, latex bald caps, and black clothing.

Go with Cirque du Soleil unless you really know her tastes well. Blue Man Group is a tad idiosyncratic.
Enjoy the evening! (and don't you wish you could do some of the stunts that CdS makes look so easy? I sure do!)

definately Cirque Du Soleil. My boyfriend, family and I all enjoyed the show. It is visually stimulating, funny, incredible and just plain great. As for blue man group, there wasn't such a consensus on enjoying this show.

I have seen Blue man group in Chicago before and must say that is quite possibly is the "awsomeist " thing in the world. It is fast, loud, and kinda of freaky but all the while telling a story. Also when i went they have confetti and streamers that fall at the end so it is really cool to be bombarded by these.

Cirque is DEFINITELY the way to go.
I saw Blue Man Group and it was entertaining, but more in a cerebral way. Cirque is more visually and acrobatically appealing.
