i don't think i'm that bad but i'm more on the shy side and feel awkcwardsinging in front on ppl. is there any place i could like send a cd that i've recorded to see if i'm any good. i don't know where tho, anyone know?

hunny... you can't be a singer if you are afraid to sing in front of people! maybe you should record yourself and listen... if your good, try gaining your confidence! When you sing in front of people, just pretend they aren't there and just have fun. thats how i did it, and it worked!
once you have gained your confidence in singing, try out for american idol or something like that. you could be big!

Recording a professional CD is expensive and time consuming. And record companies don't even bother listening to them. Dear, you can either sing or you can't, and if you are that unsure of your voice and singing in front of others, my guess is you are not that good. If you were, you would be belting out songs one after the other to anyone who would listen. Trust me on this one.

Join community plays or a school play if you are still in high school. That way when you audition, you may get a part with a small singing part and you will be able to sing in front of an audience with just a line or so...to boost your confidence. After that audition for a bigger singing role.

Gain some confidence! Performance counts for tons! Go to karaoke in your area a few times first. It will boost your confidence.

your best bet is going to be joining the choir at school. see howyou do in concerts and all of that and if you're still interested take voice lessons. you'll have recitals and you could be discovered there. or go to American Idol auitions that are close to you.
