*More specifically, do you assume that the majority of dancers/ballerinas have eating disorders?

*Do you think their art is more enjoyable if they as a dancer are at their thinnest?

*What physical characteristics set modern dancers apart from ballet dancers to you?

I have found that dancing is fun. However, im already at a fairly old age for beginners, and there would be so many people better than me. i want to be really good at something. I'm horrible at ball sports. What kind of sport should i try doing or what kind of dancing? ballet, jazz, hip-hop etc? Please give me an explanation of them. Thank you!

I played the violin for years when I was young, and have recently started taking lessons again (as an adult). I'm trying to decide which pieces to think about working on since my teacher has left it up to me, but I realized I don't know what pieces I should eventually have in my repertoire. I've played parts of the Mendelssohn, the easy part of the Tchaikovsky. I don't want to bite off more than I can chew. Just want to know what's out there - what my goal should be. Thanks!

I need songs that portray the following moods. I would prefer that the songs be either classical, opera, broadway or mainstream popular (think: The Beatles). It's to be used in the classroom, so nothing inappropriate. Also, they should be songs that most people know at least passingly well.

Any other moods you could give me would also be great. I particularly need darker moods (more along the lines of anger).

scared
angry
cheerful
calm
in love
curious
busy
happy
sad
coy
bashful
eager

I started playing guitar this summer, and the only stroke I know is:

down, down, up up down up

I know that's the basic stroke and I shouldn't go too fast since I'm just learning, but are there any common strokes that are used in songs like, let's say,
"Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd? (i'm playing that song right now and i just can't figure out how to play the rhythm right!!!)
Thank you SOOOO MUCH!!! :)

I am recently getting over a cold an my ears throat and nose doctor gave me medicine for getting rid of my mucus. The only problem is the medicine is making the mucus come UP and i havent been able to sing for about 5 days because of the excess amounts of it. I havent even been able to sing in my choir classes and our concert is next week. This is the prime in my singing season for caroling and school gigs and so i REALLY need my voice. Does anyone know what might help me get my voice by the end of the week?

I'm sure there is somewhere that deals with Musical 3d art of entirely new instruments....help me find some!

Basically, an old man At my college's Local Pot club was telling me how he wants to expose his friend's work to the world(both are old old). The friend is big into music theory and technology and has been creating entirely new instruments from random stuff.. for DECADES.....his stuff can functional as 3d ART and/or performance level instrument(depends on which)...however, he never decided to sell them....and thus had no exposure. Think Brilliant Mad scientist in basement making inventions he never publishes.

He presented them in a local art gallery at my college once. The Art Gal. Director thought they were amazing...said he never seen anything like them in the 12 years since then! He inferred it's a Damn shame the the dude was a wacky recluse becuase he would have been rich/famous as hell with the right exposure.

This version was a lot darker than typically seen, for instance the uncle who gives clara the doll seems a lot more creepy, and there is a scene that involves a woman caged as if she's an exotic bird, who dances upon release. Anyone know who put on this performance and where I can find it?

We have a Leland brand accordion and would like to know the history on it. Has anyone ever heard of this company?...That is the only thing we can find printed on it, no dates or anything. It`s very old, but not sure what year.
I have searched web and e.bay and can not find anything on Leland Accordions.
I hope I`m posting in the correct catagory.

If you can be of some help, thanks in advance
