PLEASE DON'T STEAL IT!!!!!! IT'S MINE! some advice would be appreciated!
The Front Door
What if we all had magic inside.
Making the world bend to our pride?
What if we all could touch the moon,
Never having to stay in our own cocoon?
Could it really happen?
Is it really real?
Something that's supposed to be forbidden,
but you can't help wanting to feel.
This question makes all minds go crazy,
something that still makes me hazy.
What if? Just these simple words.
It seems as if we are all cowards.
The fear of what these words mean,
it's not real, and it’s reality.
We see only what is meant to be seen,
but it leaves us with a sad finality.
I still can't help but wonder why?
Why can't life just be? Why do we have to die?
That's when What if? Comes into play.
Giving us hope - giving us something to say.
Life has to be based on something more,
what if is just the little back door.
It's time to face what lies ahead.
Walking through the front door is my choice instead.

I have the script of THE WOMEN, but I need it cut. I need a breakdown of how to perform it with the fewest amount of people--possible for one person to play another role. I need it to be cut to 40 minutes max, with at the most ten women. Can this be done? Has anyone done it? Does anyone have a good cut?

Hi guys! After thinking about it for some time I've decided that I want to try out for my highschool's colorguard in marching band. I marched as an instrument this last fall so I'm already familiar with marching, drill charts, etc. I know there is a weeklong workshop where the girls trying out learn the basics before the actual audition. The thing is, I'm just wondering if I would be at some kind of disadvantage trying out what is normally girls' 2nd year of colorguard (I would be trying out with incoming freshman and I would be a sophmore) or if there are any exercises, workouts, or ways I can start practicing for the flag tryouts (practicing spins, makedue flags, etc.?). Thanks in advance!

I am a natural singer, but I have now found that I sing from my throat, due to having been pushed beyond my capabilities as a singer in middle school. I also have extremely tense neck muscles and thick mucus. The throat-singing is causing my throat to hurt after singing in class and show choir rehearsals, so I am wondering as to how I would best remedy this, as my choral directors have never noticed it.

I was wondering if prehistoric man discovered he could sing or had simple musical instruments. Or was it much later?

Are there certain exercises to do in order to increase the range of notes a singer is able to hit sucessfully? If so, what are they? Or would vocal lessons be the answer?

when you are bending a string TOWARD yourself, for example, bending a note on the high E or B string up toward the other strings, do you let your fingernail go under or over the other strings? mine tend to go under the strings and it kind of crowds them all together, so I am wondering what is the "official" way to do it?

I'm trying to steady my voice and make it stronger, and before my performances I have rituals: First I'll eat spicey foods and drink tea with honey, ('cause it seems like the ginger and pepper soften my voice) and then I'll do the usual warm ups, and I follow up with putting something that vibrates (don't make fun of me or be perverted, I'm not talking about vibrators!) on my throat and singing with it on me. Oh and I'll sleep with a humidifier the night before. Can someone tell me if this stuff really helps? Or is it all in my mind? I'd love some other tips too! Thanks!

I know it's bad that I do this and I've been taking vocal lessons for about a year but I still can't move my sound back into my diapragm, it comes out from my throat and that strains my voice and I get a terrible soreness. Is there any trick to doing this? I'd really appreciate some help!!!

I have a Gemeinhardt, but it's in the repair shop right now and I got a flute rented out in the meantime. It's a Jupiter CEF-510 Capitol Edition, and I was just wondering if any one else has owned a Jupiter or other flute brands, which one is good. I've heard that the Jupiter "DiMedici" flutes were the only good series from Jupiter, and I've been hearing some stuff about the Azumi AZ-3000 which came out this year.
Ok, this question is really open ended. What brands do you think are best, pretty much?

Every year my school has a POPS concert. This year I am a junior and I want to sing something. But I don't know what. Previous years I sang with the chorus and chambers and didn't audition.
Requirements:
You also can't have a recording, you have to have a live band or accompaniment. My dad plays guitar, and if it's an easy song I can play it myself. I also know of someone who could accompany me on piano, but if it's easy I can learn it myself.

It has to be a popular song, a pop/rock song, or something you wrote yourself.

It has to be mainly students from our school.

I was thinking a Fiona Apple song because I love Fiona Apple, I'm an alto, and none of her songs have been done in recent years. Someone else MIGHT do Criminal by Fiona. With my band I am going to be doing a Killing Heidi song, Calm Down. But my sister will be singing, I will be playing bass.

Does anyone know of any female alto artists or songs I could do that fit the requirements?
