Picasso and his Guernica.

Naturally, I shift back and forth with the seasons on who or what I like but I keep coming back to this one.

Today, I'll say because it serves as a reminder of the horrors of war and a copy of it lives permanently in the United Nations to remind all our world representatives of the horrors of war.

For contemporary art, I like Ernie Barnes. His work has so much movement and strength and his pictures alway seem to tell a story. One of my favorites is "Room Full of Sistahs". Ernie Barnes is best known for his painting "Sugar Shack" which was featured as the background of the closing credits on the show "Good Times".

I know in art circles this may be a simple reply but I love Micelangelos (sp) The creation the one where God is almost touching Adam's finger. Not sure why it just moves me like no other work!
