I have read evidence that the story of TROY was off in location. I wont go into it but i have reason to belive it was not between the Greeks and Troy, but between the Celtics and a place called TROAD, which happened to have a city also called Illium as its capitol. it is said today to be the ruins near Cornwall, England.

anyway, there are many things in history that are disputed and i am curious if they were found to be differnt what would you think?

Was the Roman Emperor worshiped truly as a god, or demi-god among men or was it more just a show of patriotism? I know the patricians knew better, but did the lower classes really think of him as a "god" in the way we think of gods like Mars, Jupiter, or Mercury? And were there really religious rituals and offerings to the Emperor, or was it more in death?

How does the Roman Emperor being considered a "god" compare to the Pharaoh (who was really considered a god I think?), and the Chinese Emperor as Son of Heaven who I believe many of the lower classes thought of as a god?

Was fought over slavery?

If yes, why, and what evidence do you have?

If no, why, and why do you think this way?

This isn't my homework, it was just something that came up in lecture, and I was just wondering what your guys's opinion was.

So what do you think.

Do you think the Civil War was fought over slavery, why or why not?

Because we all know America feared communsim as its spread throughout the world threatened americas position as superpower and went against americas beliefs...

Yet Stalin wanted to control the spread of communism and have the communist countries listen to his directions. When they started to develop their own 'versions' of communism he got worried/angry which made the Americans worried and affected the policies they put forward..

What is your opinion...thanks ( im tryin to write a history essay on the origins of tensions between the USSR and US after 1945...)
