Is Hanoi Jane the most evil WOMAN of the 20th century?

The personification of Jane Fonda as "evil" only shows that Americans today, as they did yesterday, are no closer to understanding the Vietnamese people: why Ho Chi Minh looked up to the American Constitution as a model for governing his people, how the Viet Minh fought the Japanese (and were American Allies during WWII), how they were denied independence by the French, and why they fought to become independent and unify their country.

Neither what Jane Fonda did nor what the Vietnamese did were evil. The war is over, the "dominoes" never fell.

People did a lot of things back then that may seem wrong out of the context of the time. Her actions may have, shall we say, in poor judgement, but there have been women in history, such as Imelda Marcos or Karla Homolka, who have been directly responsible for crimes more heinous that anything that Jane Fonda might have done.

No, she has apologized for her actions at that time, and did not realize that some of her actions made it look as though she was supporting the Vietcong as opposed to our own troops.

There are many other women and men who could be considered to be a lot more evil, that have never and likely, will never apologise for anything that they have done.

Nope, she never made the list. There were several female scientists who worked in Hitler's concentration camps who DID. I think the one that won is the gal who made lamp shades out of human skin.

No, but she should have been punished for giving aid and comfort to America's enemies. But it seems that's ok if you're a movie star.
