we have to right an essay for a-level history.
our teacher wants us to include our opinion in the first paragraph, my opinion is that it was not a success, but i know the points better why it could be considered a success (helped second world war/ he did fulfill his aims) and we had to do a debate at school, i ended up on the it was successful team, and we won. so yeah, should i say my true opinion, and if so, facts and figures about the massive human sufferings? its alot easier to find figures about it being a political success

just a note, i dont believe it was successfull, i think it was terrible.

Both monarchs lent their names to the eras in which they ruled. Elizabeth managed to ward off the Spanish Armada. Victoria's empire spread everywhere, especially parts of Asia and Africa.

Which queen do you think did the most for England, both in a positive and negative manner?

This question came to me after I saw the "Elizabeth" movie (with Cate Blanchett) depicting the drama and the tension between Elizabeth's England and the Spanish empire of King Philip II (el rey Felipe Segundo).

I am curious to what people think. Also, in your opinion, who was the better monarch? Consider the time period as well as the politics of that time period. I don't want people changing my mind; this is a question out of curiousity. And if you think both monarchs served their country equally, then bring that up, too.

When Jewish families were arrested and taken to a camp, at what age were their children not gassed, and instead considered old enough to work? Ten? Fifteen?

I heard that children weren't called up by the Central Office for Jewish Emigration to go to "work" camps before they were fifteen, but what about when they were just arrested? Like, if they'd been in hiding or something?

Thank you very much.

The approach of another world war caught the U.S. largely unprepared. Having just emerged from the Great Depression, there was little time to recruit and train a military, which the nation preferred to avoid. However, the threats from fascism and communism made modern military and technology necessary. The adjustments made during World War II left the U.S. as a superpower afterwards, both economically and militarily. How do economic conditions affect art and culture? Why was America reluctant to join the Allies in World War II? Why can it be said that the war was won by Rosie the Riveter? Was the use of atomic weapons on Japan justified? Why was America both an economic and military superpower after World War II?

I saw it in the TV movie nearly 27 years ago, and have recently read there was indeed such a man, but I wonder what became of him and why nothing else has been written about it:

He was the man who for some reason was working or mysteriously appeared at the clothing factory that caught fire in New York in 1911. In the fire 146 people_I believe all women_died. He was supposed to be evil and would tell them to jump out the windows. He also jumped but was never found. Only his clothes was left behind on the ground.
