One thing he did was die in a duel with Aaron Burr.

Hamilton was very popular, and his death made duelling extremely unpopular. It was seen as a barbaric way to settledisputes, especially since Hamilton, a crack shot, aimed down and away from Burr to avoid hurting him, while Burr took his best shot.

I like Hamilton for that.

And I'm not joking, who was Alexander Hamilton?

All of which begs the question, how can he have been one of the most important people in history when some people have never heard of him?
