Hitler was a good orator yes, but he backed it with JOBS. He put Germans to WORK at good paying jobs similar to Roosevelt in the U.S. He began governmental construction jobs from buildings to roads etc., etc., and PUT THEM TO WORK. He as well was able to bring back German national pride by creating one of the world's most powerful military. Factories were opening, jobs were becoming more able to find, there was food in the oven and HOMES being built . . .things in Germany were beginning to look pretty GOOD!!

The 30s was in the great depression and the monarchy were seen to do nothing to alleviate the problems of no money and short food supply. The Nazi party offered nationalisation and work ,building the autobahns and other national projects giving germans a sense of self achievement by completing such major constructions. Through this work the standard of living was raised above all other european countries. The old adage that money makes money was very true in this case enabling nearly all germans a little bit of the readies to play with. It also increased industrialisation , creating more of a boon. The Nazi party preyed on the sense of german pride in their self achievement . Using a charismatic Hitler to to tell them how good and how much better than the rest of the world the germans were ,and since the party had done such a great job of ending the depression ,then maybe, just maybe it would be better for the whole world , if they too were helped by the germans , ruling them for their [the rest of the world] "own good" . They had succeeded with their own country , so Germany should take over , and help the average joe , it was the "christian " thing to do. .Of course this was taken a little too far and the party was ruled by idiots, insane people and complete lunatics and meglomania . In 39 when all the trouble started the people went along for the ride only to realise very shortly that they were on an unstoppable avalanche to hell..

1. Hitler had a charisma that enthralled the people into a stream of nationalistic hope.
2. After WWI the Germans were looking for anyone to rescue their lives drom oblivion because the economy had collapsed and the people were in the dregs of a bottomless pit which they felt was no rescuing. Therefore someone such as Hitler and the Nazis who seemed to have a solution rather than the corruption and ineptitude of the Weimar republic did not.
3. The Nazis never really won at the poll but they seemed to be the only party that could coalesce to form a government and this by a default Hitler became chancellor of Germany.

After WW1 France and England taxed Germany to the point where no one had any money or food. Everyone was poor because of this and out of work. Germany could not survive and needed to have a war to STOP England and France from taking all there money. Thus hitler took this opportunity to take over Germany because the people were angry at the government that was already in place, Hitler turned the Economy around and everyone had food and jobs, Germany loved Hitler. Germany was mad of what France and England did to them a wanted revenge. Germany had only helped The Austrian Hungeran Empire because they had a Treated to help them if work broke out, and they would help. Germany didnt start WW1.

Its very simple...national pride, unity. He used propaganda in newspapers, and film and government to spread the word. Its the same concept as "unite america" after 9/11. Being patriotic is very appealing. Hitler didnt go out and say "lets torture and murder anyone who doesnt fall under the "aryan race". He buttered them up with patriotism first. See if you can find out about Leni Riefenstahl. She was hitler's film director. She made the film "Triumph of the Will". It all looks very appealing at first, no one knew what he had in mind except his closest advisors. Also, Germany was in a state of depression at the time. Its a lot easier to deal with an economic depression when there is someone to blame. So he used the Jews. They were a minority...it worked, you know what happened next. But, truly the propaganda really was the start of the whole thing.

Hitler was a very convincing speaker. He told the Germans what they wanted to hear so that they would support him. He said that everything that happened and everything that got taken away from the Germans at the end of WWI was the Jew's fault. At that time the Germans were desperate because they had nothing, so when a powerful speaker like Hitler told them "blame the Jews for your hardship", they believed him and supported his plans.

Because, as they lose the I World War, the country got into an economic recession, Hitler appeared as a young leader tapping into their emotions and proposing a new beginning by getting rid of the Jews, who, to his understanding were enjoying the riches that germans were lacking. He proposed to take those riches from them, for the sake of the Third Reich.
