This is a serious question. Does anyone know of any historical reference that can prove or disprove this question. I'm studying the time period, 1900-1945, in school and we've just covered WWII. With all the holiday music being played this question popped up in my mind. Any thoughts? If you do have a reference please post the book, article, magazine, or abstract that you found it in. Thanks.

I was surprised to find out that , for example, mighty Elizabethean England was a mere 4 million people strong, and Mary Stuart's Scotland 800,000.. How can I find sites/accessible sources on other historical examples, in ancient and modern times?

This is a really interesting historical event that I only know a litle bit about. I've read up about it on the internet, but I am curious to know the opinions of those who know more .
The graves that were dug up in 1991 had two bodies missing - some say it was Anastasia that was missing, others think it was Maria.
Is is possible that Anastastia survived when her family didn't? Or was she really executed with the rest of them?

I believe the earliest example on a coin is 1474, but there may be earlier ones written on paper or parchment, carved in wood or stone, etc. As with the coin, the date may be self-explanatory as to when it was written.

It just seems like something different should have been done besides "allowing" them to live on reservations. But I admit, I don't know what the answer is. It seems like the white man stole their land, their dentity, their whole way of life. What do you think?
