The Confederation Bridge is a bridge that goes across the Abegweit Passage of Northumberland Strait, joining Prince Edward Island to New Brunswick, Canada. It was usually called the "Fixed Link" by the people of P.E.I. The bridge opened on May 31 1997. It is 12.9 km long and is treasured greatly by the people of Canada.
