early 1800's is as far back i have got and the oldest picture i have of my ancestors is twin brothers in uniform's in fromt of a tent in in the war of 1812,being decendants of the irish blood and cherokee bloodlines
the farther back one gets ,the harder the records are to come by

Do you ever do genealogical research on them? If so, what is the most interesting thing you found out?

Other than American born, I have mostly Irish, Scottish, Welsh, English...a little less French & German. Also very tiny Native American Indian (but don't know what tribe). I like to do some basic genealogical research, but mostly my Mom & Grandmother get more into it. The most interesting thing was finding one ancestor who was a lighthouse keeper in the Outer Banks many years ago.

Men has always believed in some religion or another. From the sun to the earth to the rain and ect. I'm willing to bet there are over 1,000 different kinds of religion in the world. How do you know if they are right or wrong without studying all of them.

Are we not all of gods children? Should god not love us all? After all we are all his children according to the bible? Being gay never hurt anyone. Also to believe it could that it could end life on the earth is very unrealistic. The chances of everyone turning gay is impossible, it has the same chance as the world exploding

I am trying to find the Origin of my last name which is: Vincent. I know it is English but I would like to find out if that means it is Anglo-Saxon or Norman or Briton or Jute. I have tried various geneology sites and can't seem to find the answer.

I have been doing my genelogy work and have found that I am 7th generation Californian. My family initally came from Spain in the 1500's to Mexico ( which was at that time considered a Spanish colony) they lived in Mexico until 1769, when they came to California ( which at that time was still considered a spanish colony) and became American when CA became a state in 1850, and have lived here ever since. So, what am I considered? Am I Spanish, Mexican....?
