ok so this is not a life death situation...but i think its important....were the ancient egyptians black people? so those that mean the blacks today are all direct decendents to the ancient egyptians? The acncient egyptian
were very smart and powerful and when you look at the blacks today...u cant really tell. Oh and 1 more question...why are black people so buff?? how come they are born like that? hmm i been thinking maybe it was the 300 years of slavery in their gene pool that makes them buff...cuz it was hard work..well plz help me out thank you

I mean, to open the door for a lady or to give a bunch of roses to a loved one... Why does it get so seldon? The respectful words, the love the passion and the feeling seems lost. Why do people work on a "slamb bang thank you mam" basis?

Hi I have reached a dead end in my genealogy research. I am trying to find more details on my maiden line with the surname of Mayou living in Warwickshire, England. I know that my grandfather born in 1918 and my great grandfather born in approx. 1875 (this is a very rough estimate) shared the name of Sydney Mayou and my grandfather's mother was either named Rose Lilian or Lilian Rose, but this is all I have. Because Mayou is such an unusual name I have reached a total dead end.

Any tips or UK sites (preferably free) appreciated

I believe that is the origional spelling. The Americanized version is Ditterline. It may be German, Russian, or somewhere in that region. Looking for serious answers please.

Julia Campbell herself and/or parents can not be found on any of the websites provided online. It is a real challenge to uncover this mystery even to her parents dated around Dakota territory. Plus, Nebraska,or Iowa.

Some people will ask why I don't ask my parents my ethnicity in this case. Simply, I do not know my father, my mother's dead and she was adopted, and her adoptive mother and father are both dead.

Help, please.

There websites that can tell you what your first and middle name means for free, but I can seem to find too many that can give the meanings for last names for free. Can anyone help me?

Among other reasons, the One Drop Rule was created so that white slaves with African ancestry could "lawfully" be slave. But nowadays, if someone is say 95% white, can people truthfully claim they're not white? I guess my question is, will their future kids and grandkids all be "black" just because of one black relative?

I know a girl who is blonde and blue eyed, and paler probably than any other caucasian I've ever met. It'd be more truthful to say she's white, rather than black, right? (Forget scholarships and benefits for people of certain races right now, please.) Can anyone truthfully say that that she's black, and all her future children and grandchildren are black, and can never call themselves white? If anyone were to stand by that, they'd have to be equally willing to state that someone who's caucasian, with a chinese grandfather is chinese, and all their grandchildren will forever be so, or otherwise be contradicting themself.

Please answer intelligently.

I would like to try to view birth records by name in new york city and find out how many people were born in new york city on a particular day in the 1970's. can i access public records to find out the number and names of these people? i would also like to know for statistical purposes the number of people born with a particular first name - is this information publicly available. i am sure it is in the hundreds or thousands, but i am happy to go through those records, esp. if they are computerized.

i saw that to get a birth certificate you need to be that person, but i don't want or need copies of any birth certificates i just want to know if i can view birth records and see listings of names for a particular day?

any help much appreciated
