There websites that can tell you what your first and middle name means for free, but I can seem to find too many that can give the meanings for last names for free. Can anyone help me?

Rootsweb.com is good for Surnames. It helps search many names, not just western countries. There are ways to get more names at a library research dept.

In general I have had good luck with baby name websites. Google "what's the meaning of____" and it should pull up some goodies.

You could always go to http://www.ancestry.com/ and go to it's learning center and click on the link to family facts. I hope that helps.
