How come guys and girls are so rude towards each other these days?

I mean, to open the door for a lady or to give a bunch of roses to a loved one... Why does it get so seldon? The respectful words, the love the passion and the feeling seems lost. Why do people work on a "slamb bang thank you mam" basis?

Because manners and respect are a lost thing these days. Plus the guys figure there are women out there just willing to jump in the sack with them without the girl really even knowing them so why should they try and when they do come across a girl that has respect for herself and cant just sweet talk her into bed then they dont even want to bother. Respectful, Romantic men are a dying breed it is hard to come across one but they are there it just takes a lil time to come across them.

My first thought on answering your question is that we are trained by the media on how to act. If you go back and look at television shows and movies along with popular music especially rap, you will see a definite influence into hostility between the sexes, a denigration of what should be normal and beautiful.

Why would that be done? Two basic human drives are the will to live and the pull to reproduce. When you want to brainwash someone to control them, you break down their basic needs or drives. I think that what is being done now is paving the way for the antichrist. Breaking down the bond between people is a very good way to prevent people from coming together to oppose a force larger than themselves.

That sounds rather heavy duty in response to your question, but remember if you have noticed this behavioral change, there are thousands of others who have too. There is always a reason for change even if we can't see or understand it. Nonetheless, it is good to try to reason why the change has come about to prepare for the possible consequences of that change.

Romanticism is tending to be diminished in this age of 'instant gratification' that is being practiced on an ever-increasing level in our decadent societies.
Hedonism is rampant, and consideration of the feelings of 'others' is increasingly being ignored and marginalized.

Societal mores, which demand respect for others, kindness, civility, good manners, etc. are also under attack as 'self-centredness' increases.

The root cause is lack of parental teaching. As UN-taught beings become adults and 'teach' their pathetic lives to THEIR offspring, the problems are perpetuated and become worse.

Honestly, I love women, and I will always be a gentleman to them as long as they are respectful people. But seeing certain things on TV like that Britney Spears chick really disturbs me. She has no respect for herself, acting the way she does. It looks like she's starved for attention, I don't know, but I wouldn't consider her a lady and my buddies are always talking about wanting to "bang" her, however, a REAL woman will always be treated with respect.

Becase they are selfish and lazy, and few people are willing to put any real effort into relationships anymore.

Also, we live in a society where everything is "instant" and "disposable". The mindset is definitely affecting the way we relate to each other.

they are not taught how to respect each other it begin at home. Personally I hate how others treat each other. sad
