Since he owned the semi truck, he may very well have created his own business and registered it with the State of New York. If that's the case, then all of those records, including his business address, are public record and accessible for free.

If you can't find it from the limited online search, call them and ask if they can search by owner name (which they can if you ask nicely and tell them that you don't know how to use their search engine on your computer).
Other public records to check through are:

Well, a little money might go a long ways, but there are a few tricks you can use.
First of all, do you have your birth certificate? It would list your father's full name, and possibly a birth place. Getting a copy costs money, but it's a start.
If you go to a Mormon Temple that has a Family History Library, or have a local library that is a subscriber, you can use Ancestry.com, which has a list of government and public records that you can access and find out his address and phone number.
Ask your local library if it has Ancestry.com, and if not, check with you library in the next county. One is bound to have it. The family History Libraries are goo too, but not all are good about giving you access.
The picture won't help much.
If he owns a semi-truck, then he either works for a company or owns his own company. If he owns a company, then he is registered as a company owner, and might have a fictitious business name. These get to be complicated records, but they are free to access at the relevent county.
You can always do a people search on Yahoo.com. You can also google his name and see what comes up.

using the internet can be very helpful.
1. try googling his name. in all variations. including a picture search.
2. you can search the phone book.
3. if you check with the DMV you may get an address. if you know someone who works there you may even be able to compare with the photo you have.
There are probably many more places to search. good places are Government agencies like the DMV, Social Security, etc.
either tell them the truth. OR send them a piece of mail asking for info about the current address they have on "you" and that they send it back to you in your address. basically impersonating your father to get his registered address. depends also on how many people have your dad's name.
GOOD LUCK!

You may have already tried it, but go to a site like www.anywho.com and type in his name. If his name is listed in the phone book anywhere, it should come up (if it is listed the way you type it in).

Ask your mother, relatives, older siblings and find out more contacts of his relatives, friends who he might still keep in contact.... and start looking from that network?
Also find out whether local TV programmes are interested to help you seek out... such programmes quite popular in Taiwan and Singapore.
