In genealogy, the best name is one that is different. Brown is not good, because there are so many. Smith would be equally difficult to follow. So, if your name is unique, it would be the best.

Well, to begin with, the word "best" denotes subjectivity. You're going to get a thousand different answers, many that you disagree with, because each person thinks his choice of names is best. And someone has already asked: Name for what?

I love the name Christina.

Its pretty and girly and the girl can chose a nickname. She could go by Christy or Tina.

I also like the names Emma, Rose, and Isabel for a girl. And Joseph, Ethan, Johnathan, Ian, and Matthew for a boy.
