because people think it should be modernized.

The Bible isn't being rewritten or changed unless you take into account some of the versions that various cults have put out.
The Bible is the most closely monitored, poured over, debated, examined, argued over, protected, and endlessly checked book that's ever been written. Bible translators argue over every single word, sentence by sentence, and I mean that literally. They worry, not just about the meaning of the word but it's nuances.
There are more ancient copies of the texts (thousands) in existence than any other ancient book--BY FAR!!! When checking a change in translation, Bible scholars and translators try to examine the original texts as often as they can.
The Old Testament was copied by Rabbi's and Kings who, if they made a mistake had to scrape out the incorrect letter from the sheep skin with a tool and then repair and reenter the correct letter. If a correction couldn't be made the document was destroyed and the scribe had to start over from the beginning.
The error rate is miniscule (because there are so many original documents they can be compared to check for error). The errors that are found are usually small: a word such as "cold" is used when another document shows "frozen" for example.
There are many different translations but they are usually attempts to make the Bible more accessible to modern readers. They have put it into modern English, for example.
Don't believe the lies you hear on the Internet. Check it out for yourself. There is a lot of information available on the reliability of the Bible.

The Bible says... "All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field... the grass withers, and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord God shall stand forever" Isaiah 40:6-8 in the Old Testament, and 1 Peter 1:23-25 in the New Testament... God has an enemy called Satan who likes to deceive people to think that God doesn't keep His word... nonetheless... God always keeps His word, even though the Word of God has been translated into other languages, so that the people of the world can have God's Honest Truth, as written in the scripture of the Holy Bible... God doesn't change... because God is from all eternity... and God's word shall last forever...

The bible was first written by people that lived around 2000 years ago, in languages that are now extinct!
What would i understand if the bible is read to me in ancient Greek?? or in Aramaic?
I'd rather read the bible in my own language.
Christianity is for all in his own language.
many translations were done for the bible based on the old texts. Major Churches agreed on some versions that have been studied not to jeopardize the meaning as per the original texts!

for satisfying their own intentions.. but if u really want to read the right bible.. look for the king jame's version..
some churches just wants to rewrite it to prove something that aint even right..
for example.. there's nothing in the bible that says about purgatory, trinity and rosary... but now there's a bible that has pictures of rosary.. but u can read no text in the bible that says the word rosary trinity nor purgatory.
before they can't say that it's in the bible.. but now they can.. although.. they put it there.. it's in the context of the bible.
